Ways to Work Together

Tethered offers several ways to engage in reflective, relational work. Each offering is designed to create enough space and safety to slow down, tune inward, and notice what is emerging.

Rather than being directive or prescriptive, these offerings invite curiosity, internal attunement, and connection with self and others. You are not here to be fixed or told what to do. You are here to notice, reflect, and explore.

All offerings through Tethered are intentionally non-therapy unless otherwise specified and are designed to complement, not replace, mental health treatment.

Intensive Work

Intensive work offers a focused, time-limited container for deeper exploration and integration. This format may be supportive for those wanting to spend dedicated time with specific themes, relational patterns, or moments of transition.

Intensives are informed by a blend of Internal Family Systems, EMDR, sand tray, and expressive approaches. The work is collaborative and paced with care, allowing space to notice what emerges rather than rushing toward resolution.

Because of the depth of this work, intensives require a clear goodness of fit.

  • The intensive process includes:

    • An initial consultation session

    • A one-hour virtual history and preparation session

    • A four-hour intensive session, divided into two segments with a break in between

Following the consultation and history session, we determine together whether the intensive is a good fit.

  • A $50 deposit is required to reserve an intensive consultation. This deposit is applied toward the total cost if the intensive moves forward. If, after the consultation and history session, the intensive is not a good fit, the remaining balance will not be charged.

The total cost for the full intensive process is $500.

Intensive work is offered by inquiry only and is not ongoing psychotherapy or medical treatment.

Rather than centering technique or problem solving, consultation through Tethered emphasizes internal awareness, nervous system regulation, and relational patterns within clinical work. The focus is on how your inner experience shapes presence, decision making, and connection.

This is non-supervisory consultation and does not count toward licensure hours.

  • "Attending Marcela’s healing circle was such a grounding and rewarding experience. It was a beautiful space created specifically for therapists to focus on self-awareness, self-care, and personal discovery. The sandtray activity was especially powerful—Marcela guided the process with such gentleness and thoughtful questions that allowed for deep self-reflection. It truly felt like a meaningful investment in myself, and I left feeling more connected and renewed. Highly recommend to any therapist looking to pause, reflect, and recharge."

    — Maria Melicoff, LPC, LMFT, RPT, CCST

  • "I had the pleasure of working with Marcela in both a triad and group setting, and in each experience I walked away with a deeper understanding of myself, along with entirely new clinical tools and frameworks to bring to my clients. Marcela’s presence is creative, deeply attuned, and profoundly grounded. She holds space in a way that feels both expansive and contained. She is truly offering something unique to clients and therapists alike."

    — Dr. Osborn

  • "It’s easy for me to be swept away by life’s endless busy moments that seem to be never ending and demand all my attention. I was desperately needing some sort of structure to allow for a small moment I could claim just for myself. Tethered is just that. It is an incredible tool to connect back to the self. It’s intentionally geared for the millennials who are trying to “figure it out” among the chaos. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for that small breath or the gentle pause, to ground you back to what really matters. A big plus is opening monthly mail addressed to you - great dopamine."

    — Mail Club Memeber

  • “Really grateful for the monthly reminder to slow down and reflect and there being a bonus to then connect with another friend through sending them the extra envelope that reminds me of them has allowed me to strengthen relationships and give permission for them to also reflect knowing they aren’t doing it alone”
